Q: Who is eligible for admission?
Q:
To be eligible for admission, a Veteran must be honorably discharged from the military, or the spouse of an honorably discharged veteran who served in the armed forces of the United States -along with an order from a physician stating that nursing home care is required. Spouses of veterans will be admitted on a space-available basis.
Q: Can a veteran and spouse be admitted together?
A: Yes, a spouse can also apply for admission. Spouses of Veterans undergo a clinical review to determine if they meet criteria of the Home.
Q: What is the cost?
A:
70%-100% service-connected Veterans – VA will cover all costs for nursing home stay, no out-of-pocket costs.
Any % below 70% service-connected Veterans will have to be either Private Pay or obtain Long-Term Care Medicaid insurance coverage to cover all costs for nursing home stay.
Non-Veterans – Will have to be either Private Pay or obtain Long-Term Care Medicaid insurance coverage to cover all costs for nursing home stay.
